He was an artist you might not know.
But you’ve met his children…
It’s rare that a “new” iconic monster is born and becomes forever identifiable,—— no matter the variations, by generation after generation. So it was when George Romero created the ultimate “zombie” in his Night of the Living Dead in 1968. Zombie Apocalypse fans today may have never heard of George or seen the original “Night,” but the zombies they so love in fare like The Walking Dead owe their existence to Romero’s original vision.
In 1979, screenwriter Dan O’Ban
loud music
chase away my thoughts
lyrics pounding
can't hear the silence no more
vocals pulsing
I'm not alone anymore
singing loud
the world falls away
clinical beats
ring in my ears
this music
my drug
I'm addicted to your lies
that I'm not alone anymore

I can't escape this hell
So many times I've tried
But I'm still caged inside
Somebody get me through this nightmare
I can't control myself
When I woke up one day, long after being freed from the prison that kept those around me safe, I looked in the mirror to see the icy blue eyes from my worst nightma

Stitched Up (20/20+epilogue?)
Gradually, things gained a sense of normality in the Avengers tower, Loki and Tony being the obvious exceptions. Loki was gradually regaining his confidence, but being around Tony after what was quickly becoming known as 'The Incident' made him noticeably uncomfortable, and Tony was at a loss for what to do about it.
"You have to give him time" This insight came surprisingly from their resident female spy, Natasha of course. Tony scoffed.
"Because you would know all about Loki wouldn't you?" Since his coming to the tower, Natasha and Loki had barely been seen in the same room as each other. Loki assured him he wasn't offended by it, they ju
Loki doesn't give, and he certainly doesn't do it when it's expected of him. He likes people who are self-sufficient, who don't mind taking care of him (for once), and that don't expect much more than a genuine smile in return. He also doesn't want to be told what to do, but being guided towards the right path could work. It's a dream a wish, practically a prayer for him to meet someone who fits the criteria exactly.
And then Captain America is found deep in the ocean.
Loki hates Captain America with a passion, a fury he's only ever had for his family in Asgard who lied and betrayed him. If there's anything Loki doesn't quite

Patience is Certainly a Virtue
Whoever coined the phrase "Patience is a virtue" knew what they were talking about.
As a tactical person, Loki prided himself on learning the art of waiting and knowing when was the most opportune time to strike.
Unlike the warriors of Asgard, who had a tendency to slaughter first and ask questions later, Loki had discovered that if one was patient enough, one could win the battle permanently. Loki had used this tactic in many a fight against his enemies (and a few occasions in which he left Thor on the marble floors of the sparing rooms, shell-shocked and dumbfounded).
Oh, but nothing could compare to the thrill of a well laid out p

So I know how it goes,
An addiction starts
Early on.
And it's clear
That you hear
All the things I say
When you're gone.
But don't touch me,
I'll break,
And I can't recreate
All the images I love.
Stay away,
Don't go far,
They'll say,
It'll always be this way.
Oh, let me sleep,
I don't want to,
Don't want to deal with it.
And oh,
Just let me keep
The piece of you that I have left,
I'm not ready to wake up
Just yet.
So I squeeze,
And I bleed, but it's not enough
To focus my attention.
And I hate to admit
That I can't up and quit,
Not when I've gone so far down.
I need help,
I won't go,
You won't let me grow,
A
